The First Step Playgroup is the best. I watched my daughter transform through play from a little baby to a confident and sassy toddler. The open play, art, messy play, music, story time & snack flow of the class keeps the kids very engaged while teaching them about the world- themes included family, colors, shapes, animals, vehicles, outer space etc. My daughter took this class for a year and no 2 classes were ever the same. Sara and Ali are amazing teachers who love the kids and meet them at their level. We look forward to playgroup every week.

The First Step Program provides a wonderful introduction to the Pre-K experience. Sara and Ali have created a welcoming and nurturing environment as they encourage your toddler to become more independent. The activities and weekly themes are age appropriate and presented in a friendly way.  This program encourages the natural curiosity of young children and promotes further exploration. It has been a complete pleasure to watch my grandchild learn and thrive in the First Step Program.

My just turned two- year-old daughter is obsessed with First Steps. Every Monday she is so excited to go and all week long she sings all the songs from class and talks about "school". Playgroup is such a great mix of learning, music, fun, and getting a little messy. We have been taking the class since they started about a year ago and it never gets old or boring, they really know how to keep the kids engaged and interested. I highly, highly recommend first steps!

My son and I spent an entire year with Ali & Sara at First Step and our experience was wonderful, memorable, loving and special. My son learned how to adapt to a classroom setting, how to interact with other children, and take guidance from his teachers. He grew so attached to Ali & Sara that he would constantly speak about them at home, run into class with a smile, and even allowed me to separate from him and leave since he was so comfortable with them. First Step is the best introduction to school - the perfect class for a child's first year where they are beginning to learn and grow. I am so thankful to the two of them for such a great class where my son was cared for so well!

I have probably taken more baby classes than anyone, and this class is the perfect precursor for a 2s program.  Your child will go through all the motions of a drop off program with you by their side:  circle time, art time, story time, snack time, etc.  And there is no class more thoughtfully and creatively planned than this one.  Each class has a weekly theme, and every aspect of the class from the songs to the books to the sensory play are curated to fit with the theme.  The sensory play is outstanding and like nothing you've ever seen.  Most importantly, Ali and Sara are incredible teachers.  Perhaps because they are local moms of relatively young children, the energy is warm and the kids love to snuggle up to them.  I feel very lucky that my son gets to attend this class.
